Is this a job opening or placement service?

No. InterviewCastle is not a recruiter. There are no job openings here, no placements, no referrals, no connections to employers. If you are looking for that, this is the wrong place. And that is fine.

Is this just a mock interview?

Not quite. Mock interviews give you practice. The evaluation here is structured. The evaluator is specifically checking how your answers come across and giving you direct, actionable feedback on what to fix. That is different from a practice run.

Will this work for my role?
